North Carolina women's basketball guard Allisha Gray has been released and allowed to pursue options to transfer, UNC confirmed Tuesday afternoon.
Gray led the team in scoring in the 2014-15 season with 15.8 points per game. Her potential departure comes after the exits of guard Jessica Washington in May and star freshman Diamond DeShields after the 2013-14 season. The UNC women's basketball program was heavily featured in the NCAA's notice of allegations.
If Gray departs, Stephanie Mavunga will be the only player to remain from the 2013 recruiting class, which was ranked number one at the time by ESPN.

CORRECTION: Due to a reporting error, a previous version of this story misstated Gray's status, stating that Gray was transferring. Gray has been released and allowed to explore her options to transfer, but is not yet in the process of transferring to another school. The Daily Tar Heel apologizes for the error.
