As FWOC (First Week of Classes) comes to an end, you may have heard some terms and thought, "What the heel does that mean?" I got you.
UNC has several idioms and slang words that are unique to our school, and little bits of information you just have to know.
FDOC and FWOC: "First Day of Classes" and "First Week of Classes"
Aka syllabus week aka best week of the year. If you're lucky, your professors will let you out early. If you're like me, your professors will keep you until the end of the allotted time.
LDOC and LWOC: "Last Day of Classes" and "Last Week of Classes"
LDOC is treated like a holiday at Carolina. There are bouncy houses in the Pit, free food, games and copious amounts of fun. That said, your LWOC will likely be stressful with final projects, papers and exam preparation.
GDTBATH: Good Day To Be A Tar Heel
You will see and hear this phrase often because it's always a GDTBATH. Typically, this phrase is accompanied with a hashtag and seen on Twitter and Instagram 24/7. For example, whenever we beat Duke it's a #GDTBATH.
