UPDATE 7:17 p.m.: The UNC Student Supreme Court denied Matthew McKnight's second request for appeal.
His second appeal regarded the Board of Elections decision in Edwards v. McKnight III to give him eight points for falsification.
McKnight is officially disqualified from student body president elections.
The UNC Student Supreme Court denied Matthew McKnight's appeal dealing with four of the points given to him by the Board of Elections.
The four points were punishment for falsification.
"The Board’s determination that Mr. McKnight’s intention to involve (Katherine) Shriver in his campaign by contacting her on February 7th constitutes involvement is a reasonable interpretation of involvement in his campaign, thus substantiating the Board’s finding that Mr. McKnight committed a falsification," the Supreme Court decision said.
McKnight was found guilty of seven points in Edwards v. McKnight I and eight points in Edwards v. McKnight III. McKnight could still appeal the decision in the third hearing.
