UNC releases 2013 conference football schedule

With the addition of Pittsburgh and Syracuse to the ACC football lineup, the conference has made small changes to the way it structures its teams’ schedules.

Pittsburgh will play in the Coastal Division, and Syracuse will compete in the Atlantic.

As before, each team will play eight conference games — six against divisional opponents, and two against cross-divisional opponents. Of those two games, one is guaranteed every season, and the other is rotating. Each team will play four home games and four away games.

N.C. State is UNC’s primary crossover opponent, meaning the Tar Heels will still face the Wolfpack every season. Boston College will fill the other cross-divisional slot for the Tar Heels in 2013.

The following is the order of UNC’s conference schedule. Exact dates have yet to be released.

  • vs. Duke
  • at Georgia Tech
  • vs. Miami
  • at Pittsburgh
  • vs. Virginia
  • at Virginia Tech
  • at N.C. State
  • vs Boston College
