Thomas Landreth, a 2010 UNC graduate, and Brett Kessler, a UNC senior, won a contest sponsored by Scandinavian Airlines open to gay and lesbian couples in the United States. More than 40 couples applied.
Landreth said the couple won by more than 1,200 votes, although the results will not be officially verified for a few more days.
If the results hold, the couple will be flown to Sweden in December for a destination wedding at ICEHOTEL and then honeymoon in Stockholm, all for free.
