As voters across the United States took to the polls Tuesday, presidential candidates George W. Bush and Al Gore made last-minute dashes through swing states and then home to cast their own official ballots. Gore, exiting a Tennessee polling site, said he had no doubt he would emerge victorious from this election. And Bush, voting in Austin a block from the Texas Governor's Mansion, proclaimed he was "calm about what the people are going to decide." The Daily Tar Heel will keep you informed tonight on that presidential decision as well as provide the latest news on the N.C. gubernatorial race and Orange County elections.
It's your decision.
