UNC's first-team All-America selections were Meredith Florance, Jena Kluegel and Danielle Borgman.
Kalli Kamholz was named third-team All-America, and Jenni Branam and Alyssa Ramsey were named honorable mention All-Americas.
In addition, Soccer Times honored Florance as its 2000 player of the year, UNC's Anson Dorrance as the coach of the year and Borgman as defender of the year.
Wilson Named Gymnast of Week
North Carolina senior Brooke Wilson has been named East Atlantic Gymnast League (EAGL) gymnast of the week. Wilson won every event and the all-around in UNC's season-opening victory against William & Mary.
Soccer Times Awards Players
North Carolina men's soccer players Chris Carrieri and Danny Jackson were named to the 2000 Soccer Times All-America team Monday.
Carrieri, who led the nation in scoring this past season, was named to the first team. Jackson, the leader of the Tar Heel defense, was named to the second team.
Tar Heel senior defender Eddie Robinson was named honorable mention All-America.
