This year students who care about Carolina athletics and the organization that promotes them get to make a very easy choice -- vote Michael Songer for Carolina Athletic Association president. Songer cares deeply about our top-ranked basketball program and also about Carolina's array of successful olympic sports teams.
Through his involvement with the CAA, Songer has worked to get better student seating in the Smith Center, which has made the arena louder than ever before. He has made important contacts with coaches and administrators in the Educational Foundation and athletics department. Songer has the experience and the drive to get students more riser seating for basketball games and gives us a bigger home court advantage.
Songer also has lobbied for better promotion of all of UNC's teams, from women's and men's soccer to volleyball, field hockey, lacrosse and rowing. Songer installed a sports ticker in the Pit that provides constant updates of all Carolina athletic events. He is committed to raising awareness about ALL our athletes by installing a second sports ticker on South Campus, setting up promotions to showcase olympic sports events and putting a great emphasis on sports marketing in the CAA.
Songer has the experience and the passion to accomplish important goals for our athletes and students. Let's make sure he gets the chance.
