Much to my dismay, The Daily Tar Heel has reached an all-time low with the quality of the content it provides On Feb. 2, I was shocked to learn that the DTH is now printing smut. Cameron Mitchell's column, "Sex Isn't Bad -- Try It This Weekend" was disgraceful and inappropriate. Furthermore, the message was simplistic in nature, lacked substance and could have been conveyed without the explicit details. Who's editing the DTH anyway? Larry Flynt? What angered me most about the column, besides its sheer audacity, was the fact that it was printed the day after our victory at Duke with the front-page reading, "One For The Books." That edition of the DTH was an item that many Carolina fans wanted to treasure as a keepsake. I want to keep that edition as well, but will be clipping out that column. I don't want to look back in 10 years and associate UNC, the school we know and love, with that trash in Mr. Mitchell's column.
To the DTH, I ask you this: Have you no decency? Is there any material you will not print?
