UNC Track Receives Accolades

Pedretti won the javelin and discus throws at the UNC Challenge Cup last weekend.

Cvelbar won the decathalon last week at the Florida State Relays and finished second in the javelin throw at the UNC Challenge Cup.

Baseball Game Time Changed

North Carolina's baseball game versus Elon College today has been moved to 3 p.m. at Boshamer Stadium.

Today's game will be the Tar Heels last home contest before playing the next nine games on the road.

Fencing Places 17th in NCAAs

KENOSHA, Wis. - The North Carolina fencing team finished the 2001 NCAA Championships on Sunday in 17th place with 35 team points.

The top individual finisher for UNC was Kim Treiber who placed eighth in women's sabre with 14 points.

Men's Golf Finishes 14th

STATESBORO, Ga. - North Carolina's men's golf team fired a final round 298 to finish at 891 and in 14th place at this weekend's Schenkel E-Z-GO Invitational.

Dustin Bray led the Tar Heels, finishing the weekend tied with three other golfers in 11th place at one-under-par 215.
