"Songcatcher" is a story about the old world meeting the new, tradition clashing against civilization, pure art struggling to survive the jaws of capitalism.
It's a story we've all heard before.
At least that's how it appears at first.
An educated woman from the city embarks on a mission to take the art of the mountain people and bringing it to the world of media and money.
Can anyone guess that although she and the mountain natives don't like each other at first, they eventually warm up to each other and even learn to appreciate each other's ways?
