The behavior of the students who staged the "protest" during Mr. David Horowitz's speech Wednesday night made all of us here at UNC look like jerks.
These people could have listened and taken part in civilized discussion like adults.
They could even have not come, since they disagree with what was said. Instead they made everyone sit through an overly dramatic and juvenile display as they walked out in unison, yelling and causing a ruckus.
It would be nice to have so much free time on my hands that I could waste it trying to prevent people from practicing their First Amendment rights. I hope the students in question realize the only thing they accomplished was making this school look like it is full of immature reactionaries.
