UNC Gives Bunting Extension Through 2008

Bunting's contract has been extended through 2008 and became effective yesterday. Bunting's base salary, which was $160,000 in 2001, will be increased to $260,000 beginning July 1, 2002.

Bunting led the Tar Heels to an 8-5 record, a third-place finish in the ACC and a win against Auburn in the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

Storey, Randolph All-Frosh Booters

BERKELEY, Calif. -- Marcus Storey and Sara Randolph both were named to Soccer America magazine's men's and women's 2001 All-Freshman teams.

Storey, who was third in scoring with nine goals and 26 points for the Tar Heels, helped lead the team to its first NCAA title.

Randolph started 21 of 25 games for the Tar Heels. She scored two goals and eight points to help lead UNC to the NCAA championship game.
