11:50 a.m. -- The National Lawyers Guild and the rest of the Campaign Finance Reform Alliance will put on a lecture open to the public on "Understanding Enron" in Room 4085 of the School of Law until 12:45 p.m., with law Professor Kevin Haynes and Democracy South organizer Adam Sotak.
noon -- The Sonja H. Stone Black Cultural Center will be hosting the film "Mestizo" in Union 208-209. The film is the first in a series being presented throughout February as part of the Diaspora Film and Discussion series. This event is free and open to the public.
5 p.m. -- Zeta Phi Beta sorority Inc. and Phi Beta Sigma fraternity Inc. present a celebration of the 25th anniversary of "Roots." There will be a monthlong viewing of every episode Mondays and Wednesdays in 100 Hamilton Hall and Fridays in Union 226.
6 p.m. -- The Wesley Foundation will host dinner and a discussion on hunger at the Wesley Foundation on 214 Pittsboro St. across from the Carolina Inn.
