I believe if the staff at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill insists on teaching the Quran to their students, they should also make Bible study mandatory. It was God-fearing, Bible-believing men, some of whom prayed to God in the name of Jesus Christ, who fought to give us the great freedoms we have in America.
Furthermore, comprehensive study of the Bible plus the spiritual aspects of American history should be mandatory for all Muslims and other immigrants before they can even be considered for U.S. citizenship.
Regarding the Quran, I read it and found that there is nothing of any practical or spiritual value in it that wasn't already presented better in the Bible 600 years earlier. Muhammed could have used the Bible correctly for the benefit of his Arabian followers. But, instead, all of its Bible references are out of context and misleading, and it contains many myths.
