Chapel Hill police received a report of an aggravated assault on Franklin Street at 2:58 a.m. Monday.
Police officials said the two victims, white males aged 24 and 20, were involved in an argument with two men at 128 E. Franklin St. Officials say one of the men, who police describe as a young male with curly hair who was wearing a collared shirt and khaki shorts, pulled a knife and stabbed the victims.
One victim was stabbed in the stomach, chest, shoulder and arm, suffering serious injuries, reports state. UNC Hospitals reported that the patient has not yet been discharged.
The other victim was stabbed in the shoulder and left back, reports state.
No warrants have been issued in the case, but officials say they are following up a few leads. Police officials are asking that anyone with information regarding the incident call 968-2760.
