Pyles recorded two double-doubles last week as the No. 11 Tar Heels (17-1, 5-0) topped Duke and Wake Forest on back to back nights.
North Carolina has held its No. 11 ranking for the third straight week.
In UNC's 3-1 defeat of the Blue Devils, Pyles matched a career high with 18 kills and set a new career high with 17 digs. She hit .333 in the match and added a service ace.
One night later against Wake Forest, Pyles again recorded a double-double with 13 kills and 11 digs. She hit .500 with just one error and also recorded a pair of blocks in the Tar Heels' 3-0 win.
For the week, she averaged 4.43 kills per game, 4.00 digs per game and hit .394 -- leading the team in all three categories.
The Tar Heels, who are the highest ranked ACC team in history, host East Carolina tonight at 7 p.m. in Carmichael Auditorium.
It is the team's final home match of October.
