Drug Charges Against Students Continued
Drug-related charges against two UNC students arrested Oct. 23 were continued at Orange County District Court in Hillsborough on Dec. 12.
The charges against Jason Lee Hallenbeck, 19, were continued until Thursday. The charges against Charles Bryan Corey, 20, were continued until Feb. 13.
According to police reports, University police officers seized $150 worth of marijuana, 32 pieces of drug paraphernalia, five Vicodin pills, four Darvocet pills and three Adderall pills.
James Woodall, Orange County assistant district attorney, said that Dec. 12 was the initial court date for Hallenbeck and Corey and that it is standard practice to allow a continuation after the initial date.
