Two UNC students were escorted from Davis Library and charged with second-degree trespassing after hiding in the library after closing hours Wednesday morning, according to University police reports.
Reports state that about 2:45 a.m., police officer Ross Barbee responded to complaints from a housekeeper on the eighth floor of Davis Library. The housekeeper told police he had noticed a woman running across the back of the library floor.
Reports state that police discovered UNC freshmen Andrew Dally and Diane Blahut hiding in a room with newspaper taped over the door window.
The two were escorted out of the library without incident, reports state.
