TO THE EDITOR:
So, when I finally came to terms with the fact that we were going to lose the Santa Clara game with about 0:59 left, my feelings of dread were not about the season to come, or our players or our coach - or the fact that we will kick much booty this year.
Rather, it was about the blah, blah, blah of the sports pundits saying how traumatizing this was to the program, and how I'd have to listen to some fans wring their hands and otherwise freak the heck out. "Heels shocked."
I mean, please. Our team rocks - from the coaches to the starters to the bench to the blue team. We will be fine. Better to learn a hard lesson early than get surprised later on.
Everybody, just be cool and believe in our squad. Mostly, I'm psyched the season is under way - because it is going to be good.
