Tuesday — John Bruton, European ambassador to the United States, will deliver a free lecture at 7:30 p.m. in 111 Carroll Hall.
Bruton’s appearance is part of UNC’s Great Decisions lecture series. The former Irish prime minister’s speech is entitled “The Future of Europe.”
Tuesday — The College of Arts and Sciences’ Writing for the Screen and Stage program and the Carolina Union Activities Board will host Danny Rubin, screenwriter for “Groundhog Day,” at 7 p.m. in the Student Union auditorium.
The event, which is free to the public, will feature a screening of the movie, followed by a discussion. Rubin’s appearance is part of the Comedy Festival series.
