Construction on Cameron Avenue moves to next phase
Construction on Cameron Avenue shifted to the east Friday, blocking the area from Hanes Hall to South Building.
The road is closed to through traffic. The project is an effort to upgrade utility infrastructure and to support a new chiller plant and parking deck.
The shift will impact those trying to access the Hanes Hall driveway and will continue to affect Chapel Hill Transit routes. Pedestrian access, however, remains unaffected.
