Resident to run against sheriff in 2006 elections

William "Buddy" Parker, a lifelong Orange County resident, father and police officer, has announced his candidacy for Orange County Sheriff in the 2006 election cycle.

Citing a recent article in which Sheriff Lindy Pendergrass said he would be running for another term, Parker lays out his plans as sheriff in a press release.

His priorities include improving public and school safety and proactively pursuing alcohol and drug law enforcement.
