Norovirus poses sickening threat

How to stay safe from the Norovirus Symptoms
  • Common symptoms include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea and stomach cramping.
  • Some people also experience a low-grade fever, chills, headache, muscle aches and tiredness.
  • The illness often begins suddenly, and the infected person might feel very sick.
  • The illness is usually brief, with symptoms lasting only about one or two days. Prevention
  • Frequently wash your hands, especially after toilet visits and before eating or preparing food.
  • If you experience the symptoms above, stay home so you are not spreading the virus.
  • If you are ill, prevent dehydration by drinking a non-alcoholic beverage.
  • Do not prepare food while you have symptoms and for three days after recovery.
