A UNC student was arrested early Friday after banging on doors while wearing only a T-shirt, Chapel Hill police reports state.
Reports state that junior Joshua Henry Gadd, 21, was arrested at 7:37 a.m. on Rosemary Street on charges of indecent exposure and being drunk and disruptive.
Gadd was released on a written promise to appear in court but was held at the Orange County Jail until he could give fingerprints to the police department, reports state.
A graduate student was arrested early Saturday after climbing onto the roof of University United Methodist Church, at 150 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Reports state that Adam R. Walters, 24 of 102 Tabscott Lane was arrested at 3 a.m. on charges of first degree trespassing and being drunk and disruptive.
According to reports, Walters climbed the building using scaffolding and was arrested after exiting the roof.
An employee of the Eckerd drugstore at Timberlyne Shopping Center was arrested Friday after it was discovered that he stole more than $950 from the store, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Reports state that Chadwick Ian Marriott Mayette was arrested at 12:04 p.m. on charges of larceny by an employee.
Reports state that Mayette rang up false refunds and took money between Feb. 28 and April 4.
Mayette is being held at the Orange County Jail in lieu of a $1,000 secured bail and is scheduled to appear in court today.
A laptop was stolen from Carroll Hall on Saturday afternoon, according to University police reports.
The reporting party said the victim left her office unsecured for 45 minutes, and upon returning, discovered that her laptop was missing, reports state.
