A 24-year-old Chapel Hill man was arrested on felony charges of cocaine and crack possession, Chapel Hill police reports state.
Ahmaud Fearrington, 1812 Neville Road, was arrested at 603 W. Rosemary St. after he was seen dropping a plastic sandwich bag containing crack, reports state.
According to reports, Fearrington had 1.7 grams of crack and 0.5 grams of cocaine in his possession.
He was placed under a $12,000 secured bail and was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
A 43-year-old man was arrested Monday night on charges of carrying a concealed weapon, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
John Willie Yarborough, who is without residence, was arrested at 7:22 p.m. at 310 W. Franklin St. after he was seen chasing a person around while swinging a knife, reports state.
Yarborough also was arrested on charges of being drunk and disruptive, reports state.
He was placed under a $500 secured bail and is scheduled to appear in District Criminal Court on May 22.
A UNC student was arrested on charges of drug possession Monday night, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Karl Johnson, 19, of 244 Indian Trail, was arrested on warrants related to felony charges of breaking and entering, reports state.
While police were serving the warrants, Johnson was arrested on misdemeanor charges of marijuana possession and underage possession of a malt beverage, according to reports. Police seized 1.3 grams of marijuana, reports state.
Johnson was placed under secured bail of $5,000 and was scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
Shorty's Bar and Grill, located at 504 W. Franklin St., was the victim of a breaking and entering Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Reports state that a suspect broke the front glass door to gain entry and stole $53 of liquor.
There was $500 worth of damage to the glass, reports state.
A misdemeanor larceny was reported Saturday afternoon in Davis Library, according to University police reports.
A UNC student reported that she was working on the eighth floor and left her belongings unattended to go to the rest room. When she returned, she discovered that her things were missing, reports state.
Items missing include a zip-up leather wallet, a bookbag, keys, $20 cash, a UNC One Card, a debit card and a glue gun, reports state.
Gate six of Kenan Stadium was vandalized Saturday, according to University police reports.
Unknown suspects spray painted an expletive word on the concrete exterior of the gate.
Maintenance staff already had removed the graffiti before the officer first discovered it, reports state.
Reports state that it appeared that someone had spray painted the gate again after the staff had removed the original graffiti.
