  • A woman was arrested Tuesday on two charges of drug trafficking, which is a felony, and one count of drug possession, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state Takeesha Riggsbee, 23, of 1728 Lesion Road, turned herself in when warrants were issued for her arrest. Riggsbee was secured at Orange County Jail in lieu of $168,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday in Hillsborough, reports state.
  • A man was arrested at 1 a.m. Tuesday at 1521 E. Franklin St. on charges of shoplifting and identity theft, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Barry Allen, 30, of Murphy, shoplifted from a Food Lion on North Fordham Boulevard, reports state. According to reports, Allen was secured in Orange County Jail in lieu of $500 bail and was scheduled to appear Tuesday in District Criminal Court in Hillsborough.
  • An incident of larceny was reported at 2:48 p.m. Tuesday at Meadowmont Village Circle, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state a Schwinn moped, valued at $600, was stolen from the parking lot.
  • A UNC student's laptop was stolen at 3:20 p.m. Tuesday from a residence at 1109 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. According to reports, someone climbed through a window and stole the laptop, valued at $500.
  • An incident of larceny was reported at 1:22 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Reports state someone cut the lock on a box at 125 W. Franklin St. and took one newspaper valued at $1.
