A 35-year-old Chapel Hill woman was arrested on drug-related charges at 4:05 a.m. Tuesday, Chapel Hill police reports state. Clarissa Farrington, of 703 N.C. 54 West, was arrested on Grant Street on felony charges of cocaine possession and misdemeanor charges of driving without a license, according to reports. Farrington was taken to Orange County Jail and held in lieu of $5,000 secured bail, reports state. She was scheduled to appear in District Criminal Court on Tuesday.

Police are investigating an embezzlement that was reported Monday at the Horizon's Program, at 208 Conner Drive in Carrboro, Chapel Hill police reports state. Reports state an employee stole $1,450 in cash from the business. No warrants have been issued.

Police are investigating an incident of obtaining property by false pretense that was reported at 2:28 p.m. Monday at 200 N. Greensboro St., Carrboro police reports state. According to reports, a victim reported that a man approached her at Elmo's Diner seeking donations for Big Brothers of America. Reports state the suspect had a FedEx box of pamphlets and gave the victim a handwritten receipt. Reports state that the victim called Big Brothers of America after making the donation, but that the group said the man was not affiliated with them. The suspect is described as a 5-foot-4 male in his 40s, reports state.

An incident of felonious larceny was reported at 6:38 p.m. Monday at the Study Abroad offices in the Porthole Building, University police reports state. An IBM Thinkpad and case valued at $3,025 were removed from the offices, according to reports.
