A man was arrested on assault charges Saturday at Blue, the restaurant and bar inside the Holiday Inn at 1301 N. Fordham Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Reports state Brian Monroe Mayse, 31, of 2903 N.C. 54 West, was arrested at 11:11 p.m. on charges of assault inflicting serious injury, communicating threats and damage to real property.
According to reports, Mayse hit the victim with a tire iron.
Mayse was transported to Orange County Jail in lieu of $15,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court today, reports state.
An incident of larceny was reported Saturday at the Kerr Drug on South Estes Drive, Chapel Hill police reports states.
According to reports, an unknown suspect stole $11.47 worth of candy. The incident is under further investigation.
A man was arrested Friday on multiple charges, including drug-related offenses, Chapel Hill police reports state.
According to reports, Eddie Arnold Gattis Jr., 39, whose address was listed as the streets, was arrested at 3:48 p.m. on Caldwell Street near Columbia Street.
Reports state Gattis was arrested on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia after a crack pipe was located in his left shoe.
Once he was in custody, Gattis also was charged with breaking and entering and larceny from a vehicle, according to reports.
Reports state Gattis refused to be finger printed or photographed.
He was transported to Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail and is scheduled to appear in court today, reports state.
A man was arrested on weapons charges Thursday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Reports state John Thomas Pierce, 47, of 112 Eugene St. in Carrboro, was arrested at 7:36 p.m. at 319 S. Estes Drive.
Pierce was charged with assault by pointing a gun and possession of a weapon on town property, according to reports.
Pierce was transported to Orange County Jail in lieu of $1,500 bail and is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 8, reports state.
