Become an officially recognized student organization

The majority of the organization's membership must be registered UNC students.

All major officers must be full-time, registered UNC students.

One major officer of the organization must agree to serve as the primary contact of the organization.

The organization must comply with University policies, including UNC's policies on nondiscrimination.

The organization must comply with applicable federal, state and local laws, including but not limited to state laws related to hazing and alcoholic beverages.

The organization must provide disabled students with accessible programming and facilities, including physical location and alternative printed materials.

The organization may be required to affiliate with appropriate UNC departments or offices.

The organization must have an advisor who is a full-time permanent employee of the faculty or staff of UNC or UNC Hospitals.
