  • Tuition: Carson's platform states that she will demand that the Board of Trustees explain how tuition increases will be spent and that she will advocate a five-year predictability plan.
  • Student fees: Carson states in her section of the report that she helped to create a process that allows programs and departments requesting fee increases to explain the reasons for the increases.
  • On Aug. 7, the Orange County Board of Elections announced that the post office on Franklin Street would be used as the site, rather than the Seymour Center off of Homestead Road.
  • Distinguished Speaker Series: A committee has begun the process of creating a $2 million endowment for the series.
  • Junior-year scholarship: Carson's platform calls for the creation of a scholarship fund for juniors based on leadership and community involvement.
