Homecoming elections about unity not racism

TO THE EDITOR:

UNC prides itself on diversity and acceptance. When Jeremy Crouthamel was named Homecoming king at the football game" I saw Donovan Livingston hug Crouthamel and say" ""Congratulations"" brother.""

My heart smiled to see UNC students come together as family. Whatever Livingston or Crouthamel did or didn't do" decisions weren't based on race. I can't believe we still can't stand as a united college community and nation. Someone will always find a way to make an argument based on race.
