Student government still accepting applications

TO THE EDITOR:

Each year student government appoints many students to committees across the University through the external appointments process. These appointments allow the University administration to get valuable student input in important areas like buildings and grounds technology student fees and more.

The committees need both graduate and professional students and undergraduate students to provide the full range of student perspectives.

The Student Advisory Committee to the Chancellor meets directly with Chancellor Thorp to discuss major issues at the highest level of the University's administration.

If you have big ideas this committee can help you gain access to outstanding student leaders and administrators.

We would like to announce that the deadline for applications has extended until 10 p.m. Wednesday. We have received many outstanding applications but due to some unexpected additional time we want even more people to apply. If the NCAA National Championship or the holiday weekend got in the way of your application now is your chance to apply for one of these great committees.
