Green ideal candidate for local school board election

TO THE EDITOR:

Joseph Green is an ideal candidate for the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of Education.

He has significant experience in the education field, having taught at both the secondary and collegiate level, and now serving as Director of UNC’s Upward Bound program.

Green, being relatively new to this district, also has the ability to give a fresh perspective to district issues and bring about the innovation required to make our great schools even greater and able to educate all of our students.

Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools prides itself on the high quality of its students, its curriculum, its teachers, and its administrators. But it must work to garner full community inclusiveness to engage and educate all students, and to create the flexibility to address the needs of a diverse community.

Green will address these issues and make our schools even better. Elect Joe Green for the Board of Education, a new, strong voice for the district!
