Thanks to an abysmal half of shooting from the floor by No. 15 Ohio State, No. 4 North Carolina has a 38-24 halftime lead in Madison Square Garden.
OSU is just 9-for-31 for (29 percent) from the field and 1-for-10 from 3-point range.
On the other side, Will Graves leads the Tar Heels with nine points. Marcus Ginyard has six, including a 3-pointer with just seconds remaining in the half.
Ed Davis set the tone early and has five points, but he sat out the last 4:09 with three fouls.
Though Ohio State point guard Evan Turner has five inches on UNC's Larry Drew II, Turner has five assists and no turnovers, while Drew II has five assists and two turnovers.
The game has been sloppy on both ends, and the Tar Heels continue to turn the ball over. But UNC's length inside has disturbed OSU drives, and the shots from the outside simply have not fallen for the Buckeyes.
