The North Carolina men's basketball team registered its 2000th win Wednesday night with a 69-62 win against Miami.
The Tar Heels rolled to a double-digit advantage in the second half, but the Hurricanes made it interesting with 29 points from Durand Scott to bring the score within two late in the game.
But UNC ultimately sealed it at the charity stripe with clutch free throws from Marcus Ginyard and Will Graves.
Graves scored 16 point to pace UNC, while senior Deon Thompson had 14.
Ginyard posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
