— A 20-year-old Pittsboro man was arrested for embezzlement, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell or distribute, possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia at 4:05 p.m. Thursday at a convenience store at 1509 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Michael Keith Webb was caught on surveillance allowing his friends to steal $2,500 in alcoholic beverages, $2,000 in tobacco products and $500 in food, reports state.
During a search following his arrest, Webb was found with drugs and drug paraphernalia on him.
He was taken to the Chapel Hill Police Department and later before a magistrate where he was given a $5,000 secured bond, reports state.
— Someone spray painted a car door between 11:59 a.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday at 54 Davie Circle, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The blue 2002 Infiniti I35 suffered $20 in damage, reports state.
— Someone stole items from an unlocked vehicle at 9:18 a.m. Friday at 113 Campbell Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The person stole an iPod worth $80, a beach towel worth $1, a phone charger worth $10 and shoes worth $100, reports state.
