TO THE EDITOR:
I will admit to being quite amused by the Sept. 14 editorial, “Rotten at the core.” Aside from the fact that the main focus of the criticism seems to be a list of e-mails whose origin no one seems to be able to explain and whose validity is also questionable, why is the DTH obsessed with a student organization at Duke?
UNC does in fact have its own College Republicans club right here on campus. I feel slighted that the DTH feels that the Duke club is more deserving of coverage than our own club is.
Maybe it’s simply because our club is such a paragon of virtue that the DTH chooses to ignore it. But should you choose to grace us with an editorial in the future, let me suggest a title: “UNC College Republicans: Bad to the Bone.” Now that’s an opinion I could really get behind.
