TO THE EDITOR:
For those of you who don’t know, the American Red Cross Blood Bank is at a nationwide critical low.
The need for blood donations is greater than ever, and every drop counts.
This semester, the UNC chapter of the American Red Cross Club and our sponsors will be holding blood drives as usual in the Student Union.
Thanks to the Carolina community, last year we were the second-largest source of blood donations for the Orange County American Red Cross Blood Bank.
This year, we would like to become the largest, and we are counting on some good old Tar Heel support to do it.
Our first drive will be this Friday, Sept. 10 from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Union Great Hall. You can be a walk-in or make an appointment online at www.unc.givesblood.org. Answer the call, Tar Heels, and help save a life.
