Police log for September 29, 2010

—Five cars were broken into between 10:59 a.m. and 1:13 p.m. Monday on Bolinwood Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

Someone broke the passenger window of a gold 2001 Mazda Millenia and stole a $25 car stereo at 10:59 a.m. Monday, reports state. Damage to the car was estimated at $500, reports state.

Someone broke the rear window of a green 1995 Ford Mustang and stole a $25 car stereo at 10:59 a.m. Monday, reports state. Damage to the car was worth $250, reports state.

Someone broke the window, unlocked the door and stole a $100 car stereo from a burgundy 1994 Honda Accord at 12:53 p.m. reports state. Damage to the vehicle was worth $2,500, reports state.

Someone broke the window of a burgundy 1991 Nissan Maxima at 1:07 p.m. Monday, reports state.
Damage to the car was worth $100, reports state.

Someone broke the window, unlocked the door and took a $100 car stereo from a silver 1990 BMW 325i at 1:13 p.m. Monday, reports state. Damage to the car was worth $100, reports state.

—Someone shoplifted $31 worth of meat at 3:29 p.m. Monday from Food Lion, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone entered a room and stole a $1,819 laptop between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday from 321 W. Cameron Ave., according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—A rabid dog was reported running at large at 11:08 a.m. Monday at 306 E. Main St., according to Carrboro police reports. When police arrived, the dog was not on scene, reports state.
