Police log for September 8, 2010

—Someone pointed a gun and stole $50 at the Kangaroo Express at 201 S. Estes Drive at 11:49 p.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone broke into a house between 12:50 p.m. and 4:51 p.m. Monday at 830 Shady Lawn Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The person took a television worth $250, a laptop worth $2,400 and an antique jewelry box worth $150. Damage to the door was valued at $150, reports state.

—Someone broke the window a teal 2009 Chrysler Town & Country van between 10 p.m. Sunday and 6:36 a.m. Monday at 1506 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a briefcase worth $50, a memory foam bed topper worth $200 and three blackout curtains worth $200, reports state. Damage to the window was valued at $150, reports state.

—Someone borrowed another person’s cell phone before stealing it between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Monday at 147 E. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
The phone was worth $200, reports state.

—Someone broke into a home at 323 Burlage Circle and took $500 in door glasses between 8:31 a.m. Friday and 5 p.m. Monday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone reported seeing a suspicious light outside their window at 11:32 p.m. Sunday at 202 Old Barn Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone reported hearing dogs barking at 3:29 a.m. Monday at 603 Smith Level Road, according to Carrboro police reports. The owner said he would bring the dogs inside.
