Police log for September 9, 2010

—Someone assaulted and robbed people at gunpoint at 8:23 p.m. Wednesday at 401 Umstead Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
A $40 wallet containing three credit cards and $50 cash was stolen, reports state.

—A poisonous snake was found in a parking lot at about 3:48 a.m. Thursday at the Chapel Hill Police Department, according to Chapel Hill police reports.

—Someone broke the glass in a bus stop shelter at 4:58 p.m. Wednesday at 201 S. Estes Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
Damage is estimated at $500, reports state.

—Someone punctured tires and threw rocks at the driver’s side window of a car between midnight and 7:20 a.m. Wednesday at 111 Pickard Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports. Damage to the car is estimated at $575, reports state.

—Someone stole a $6,312 light tower from a roadside work site between midnight and 2 p.m. Sept. 1 near Fordham Blvd. at Raleigh Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
