TO THE EDITOR:

On Friday Oct. 8, Kappa Delta Sorority and Chi Phi Fraternity co-hosted their annual Crawfish Boil at Chi Phi. More than 750 people attended the dinner, raising $1,500 for the Orange Country Rape Crisis Center, Dance Marathon, the Susan Hope Lambeth Ovarian Cancer Fund and HOPE Gardens.

The Crawfish Boil was a Carolina Green event which educated event attendees about composting and its importance to living sustainably. The dinner included local and organic food from Sysco and Freshpoint Produce as well as plates and cups from local organizations which were composted after the event.

Kappa Delta and Chi Phi would like to thank all those who attended the Crawfish Boil. It was a great way to give back to the community with a fun and environmentally friendly event.
