Police log for October 13, 2010

  • Someone broke a window in a town parking booth between 12:10 a.m. Sunday and 7:55 a.m. Monday at 140 E. Rosemary St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    Damage to the window was worth $150, reports state.
  • Someone reported Monday that a camera bag was stolen from an open garage at 126 Turnvey Court at noon Sept. 27, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
    The $86.19 bag contained $4,809.88 worth of items, including a $1,939.49 Canon camera and two camera lenses valued at more than $1,600, reports state.
  • Someone stole a $150 wagon between 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Monday at 424 Lakeshore Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone stole $52 from the Kangaroo Express at 201 S. Estes Drive at 3 a.m. Tuesday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone stole two stop signs totalling $200 at 12:46 p.m. Monday at Church Street’s intersections with Carr Street and Lindsay Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke into a mailbox and stole the mail between 11:30 a.m. Sunday and 11:50 a.m. Monday at 200 Westminster Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke the window of a car and caused $200 in damage between 6 a.m. Sept. 27 and 9:47 a.m. Monday at Bolinwood Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone stole a $1,000 parking meter between 12:10 a.m. Sunday and 10:07 a.m. Monday on West Franklin Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
