TO THE EDITOR:
I wanted to express my extreme gratitude to one of the employees in the Department of Athletics.
I am currently deployed with the United States Coast Guard. I am in Venice, La. with the Deep Water Horizon oil spill.
Here is the long story short. I went online to request an autographed picture for my son, and noted that the only way to pay was with a check.
When I phoned to ask if there were any alternate means of payment, Nadia Lynch answered and cheerfully said that I would be able to send in a money order care of Roy Williams, and then proceeded to thank me for my service.
Very rarely lately have I encountered such a high level and positive customer service experience.
I just wanted to pass this on.
I am very excited that not only can I get my 7-year-old son something that he will cherish, but I am doing so with even more admiration for the high standards that UNC-Chapel Hill has.
