TALLAHASSEE – UNC’s leading rusher Johnny White broke his clavicle in the second quarter of UNC’s 37-35 win against Florida State, and he will be out for the rest of the season.
White had rushed for seven yards and a touchdown against the Seminoles, and on the season amassed 720 yards and seven touchdowns.
In the game, he was replaced by Shaun Draughn, who later went out with a sprained ankle. After that, Anthony Elzy got cramps. That meant for the final three minutes of the game, the Tar Heels were featuring Hunter Furr, who had spent time on the practice squad in the week before.
Ryan Houston, who was planning on receiving a redshirt for the season, did not make the trip to Tallahassee.
