Oddest Police Reports

  • Someone threw a snowball at security personnel at 1 a.m. Feb. 13 at Kildareā€™s Irish Pub at 206 W. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Large amounts of trash were placed inside one vehicle and on top of another between 1:01 a.m. and 8:31 a.m. April 20 at 110 North St., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone drove away from a Kangaroo Express gas station with the gas nozzle still in the tank at 10:58 p.m. May 15 at 201 S. Estes Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The incident caused $100 in damage to the gas tube.
  • Someone used fireworks and a tree branch to cause $150 worth of damage to a passing vehicle at 12:21 a.m. July 6 on Fordham Boulevard near Sage Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone put clothing in their pants and walked out of Johnny T-shirt without paying for it at 1:41 p.m. Aug. 24, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The unidentified clothing was worth $1, reports state.
  • Someone thought they saw a suspicious man take meat from a Food Lion at 2:07 p.m. Oct. 18 at 1129 Weaver Dairy Road, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
