Police log for December 6, 2010

  • Someone broke the window of a silver 2007 Toyota Prius between 1 a.m. and 4:51 a.m. Friday at 105 Homewood Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a cell phone worth $150 and $25 worth of sports and recreation equipment. Damage to the vehicle was valued at $9,500, reports state.
  • Someone stole $225 in cash from a residence between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. Saturday at 446 Cedar Club Circle, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone reported a large crowd fighting and refusing to listen to officer commands at 157 East Rosemary St. between 2:05 a.m. and 2:17 a.m. Sunday, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke out the window of a green 1993 Nissan Altima and stole $85 worth of parts and accessories at 4:16 p.m. Friday at 106 Weatherstone Drive, according to Chapel hill police reports. Damage to the vehicle and parts was valued at $100, reports state.
  • Someone caused $300 worth of damage to a mailbox between 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. Friday at 109 Gardner Circle, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone stole a $20 purse containing $37 worth of items between 3 p.m. and 6:55 p.m. Friday at Quizno’s Sandwich Restaurant at 1802 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone forged a signature on a check between noon Nov. 24 and 12:27 a.m. Thursday at 456 Melanie Court, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The counterfeit check was worth $100, reports state.
