TO THE EDITOR:
If you’re a freshman looking for a place on campus to seriously discuss the meaning and importance of leadership, service and diversity, applying to be a member of the N.C. Fellows Program might be the next step for you. We’re a tight-knit community engaged in all different aspects of University and local life, and we’d love for you to join us.
The N.C. Fellows Program is a process of individual and collaborative growth through inquiry and reflection. Fellows take a 3-credit seminar on leadership philosophies and styles in the fall semester of their sophomore year, and go on weekend retreats in their freshman, junior and senior years. Fellows can also apply for partial funding for summer internships, and they attend monthly meetings with community leaders during the academic year.
Please visit http://leadership.unc.edu/index.php/programs/nc-fellows for more information about the program. Applications are due by 5 p.m. on Jan. 24 in the Carolina Leadership Development office (Student Union, Room 3505) .
We look forward to reading your application.
