Police log for February 17, 2011

  • Someone stole a beige 2003 Buick Regal between 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at 431 W. Franklin St., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The vehicle was worth $4,500, reports state.
  • A wet sweatshirt was in someone’s bed between 8 p.m. Monday and 1:43 a.m. Tuesday at 821 N. Heritage Loop, according to chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone was found sleeping in front of the side entrance of a building under a covered walkway at 8 a.m. Tuesday at 112 Perkins Drive, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone broke a window of a black 2006 Volvo between 9 p.m. Monday and 10 a.m. Tuesday at 211 Pritchard Ave., according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a GPS worth $300 and caused $100 in damage to the vehicle, reports state.
  • Someone pushed her employer while trying to grab documents related to her firing at 12:45 p.m Tuesday at 900 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone stole another person’s property at 6:39 p.m. Tuesday at Chapel Hill High School, according to Chapel Hill police reports. The person stole a cell phone worth $150 and an iPod touch worth $250, reports state.
  • Someone created a disturbance on a bus and was trespassed at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday at Long Leaf Drive near Leclair Street, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
  • Someone opened a shed door between 8:01 p.m. Monday and 3 a.m. Tuesday at 6 Friar Lane, according to Chapel Hill police reports.
